Upfront Ventures Joins Series E Funding for ThredUP

Investment firm Upfront Ventures has announced their participation in a huge round of Series E funding for one of their previous investments, ThredUP. ThredUP is a second-hand clothing online marketplace, that buys and sells gently used women’s and kid’s clothing.

Goldman Sachs led the latest funding round, which raised $81 million in total. Upfront wrote a detailed piece outlining the growing opportunities in the second-hand marketplace, which can be seen on their Insights blog here. Small Business Trends also has more on the story in this article.

ThredUP joined the Upfront Ventures portfolio in early 2014. Other companies in the portfolio include Adore Me, Ferris, and Grove Labs.
